Poached Pears with Cinnamon and Honey

This light, refreshing dessert will please everyone. Great for a family gathering or beautiful enough to serve for an elegant dinner party. Top with coconut, almond or soy ice cream for the ultimate dessert!

Serves 6

6 organic pears (I like brown pears best)
1 Tbsp Organic Honey
2 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon

1. Rinse and if desired, peel pears, keeping stem intact.
2. In a large bowl, add pears and cover with pure, filtered water (never tap water), stir in honey and cinnamon added.
3. Transfer pears and water into a steamer and steam for 5 minutes.
4. Serve whole or slice pears in half and remove core, in a small plate or bowl. Top with a spoonful or two of juice mixture and lightly sprinkle with cinnamon.
